New Years Resolution...Life Resolution

At the end of every year, people are always talking about or deciding on what they want to leave behind, change, or start at the beginning of the New Year. I used to participate in this, but quickly realized that New Years Resolutions were only to make myself feel justified for all the bad I had done in the previous year. After about a month, I would forget about them, and go back to my normal life. Maybe they do work for some, but I think for the normal person, we realize that we cannot change ourselves completely; a part of the old us will always be there. Anyways, so usually how I end the year is thanking God for that year, the good and the bad, and for being alive still. I see the New Year as a new chapter in my life and start pondering what am I going to write down in this chapter? The inevitable questions is, how will I change or do something different with my life? HOw will I change the cycle of how things are going? By actively everyday, choosing to follow through, not j...

Paramore: Playing God [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

I think this song is a perfect expression on how I've felt about certain Christians I have come across.  I know that at a time in my life, I was also this self-righteous Christian, and so I know what it means to be on both sides.  I want to dedicate this song to someone in my extended family.  They probably will never read this blog, but you know who you are.  Around Halloween time, you had no problem judging me, so I wonder what else you say about me or people like me! Because you are so good right?? Anyways, I am Christian, I am not perfect, but I strive to be like Jesus.  I fail everyday and I'm working on recognizing it. Let God convict me of my faults, let HIM change me, not your judgmental attitude. I'm glad that their are bands out there like Paramore that can write a song and it is exactly how I feel about something at a particular time. Enjoy!

Move to Indiana

So my husband and I recently relocated to Indiana from California. So far there are a few differences, but nothing major. Our neighborhood is really quiet and everyone seems rather friendly and laid back. I was so excited to find a Chipotle downtown as well. Of course, most of our belongings are on there way so I e mainly been watching movies and watching more movies, lol. I'm trying not to shop because I spent way too much on thanksgiving weekend, lol. I've had a lot of free time to relax, and I hope to keep acclimating to my new surroundings.  More to come as I explore and learn more about my new home state.
