Faces not seen Only masks showing Smiles glued on Clothes pressed & clean. Being polite Saying "Hello," Never going deeper Shallow pool for kiddies. Not looking for best friends, Not looking for food. Just wanting for Deeper encounters. Sunday occasion Check-in Get fattened like a calf Headed out for the slatter. The snoring is loud The brain unstirred. Is this really All there is to this place? Broken relationships, Mended with Artificial emotions, Ignoring the wounds. Socialism rules the institution. A group of leaders Deciding and choosing What they think is best. I don't agree That this place Is Fertile Or nutritious. Plants are dying Dormant, not bearing fruit. Fruitful ones seem To be transplanted and removed.

This task/adventure has proven quite difficult. My husband and I have been attending a church here in town. However, certain bad things have occurred since being here. The church currently has no pastor and they are struggling to find one. A lot of people have also decided to leave the church over theological and staff disagreements. So where does that leave us? We are new to the area and new to the church. We are making new friends but still feel like we are not tied down to this church. However, it has been 10 months, and I'm really not wanting to just walk away and quit on this church that I thought was decent. Churches are not perfect and have their defects, and we get that. However, when a church is floundering in it's direction and members are leaving, what is one to do? Recently, I've decided to stop worrying and just trust that God will help me see the path he wants me on.
